[jira] Created: (MYFACES-291) Server Side Tree2 Component Does Not Work with Sun RI

Server Side Tree2 Component Does Not Work with Sun RI
-----------------------------------------------------

         Key: MYFACES-291
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MYFACES-291
     Project: MyFaces
        Type: Bug
    Versions: 1.0.9 beta
Environment: Using Sun RI under IBM RSA 6.0
    Reporter: Brendan Conner

The Tree2 component throws errors when run in "server side" mode using the Sun RI.

As described by Balaji Saranathan [mailto:[hidden email]]

The offending code in tree2 seems to be the getMyForm() in com.sun.faces.renderkit.html_basic.CommandLinkRenderer.java. When this is called in the encodeEnd() of commandLinkRenderer, it returns null.  I tried enclosing the tree2 inside a form tag(ugly but a try though) but doesn't seem to work. Going through the code, I find the HtmlLinkRendererBase in Myfaces uses a DummyFormUtils while commandLinkRenderer in SUN RI tries to raise an exception saying it has to be enclosed within a form.

Mathias Werlitz commented on MYFACES-291:
-----------------------------------------

I have tested the nightly build of the tomahawk extensions (tree2) with my application an now the tree2 works correctly with the SUN RI (server side mode). It seems this issue was solved along with MYFACES-360 :)
